Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for power plant operations, maintenance, projects and related services
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process including sourcing, RFQ/RFP, vendor evaluation, negotiation, purchase orders and contract management.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable local and international suppliers/vendors.
- Ensure timely procurement of critical equipment, spare parts, consumables, services and project materials.
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors to achieve competitive pricing, quality and delivery timelines.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approved budgets, applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate all required permits, licenses, approvals and renewals related to power plant operations.
- Liaise with relevant government authorities, regulatory bodies, local administration and other stakeholders for obtaining and maintaining permits and approvals.
- Maintain a proper tracker and documentation system for all permits, licenses, renewals, NOCs and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, HSE and other departments regarding procurement and permitting requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, delivery schedules and resolution of commercial issues.
- Develop and maintain a qualified vendor database and conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations.
